My latest news is that my bunting is now available in another store, this time it is closer to home at Country Mouse in Twyford. Lyndsay at the shop is stocking my lavender filled bunting, deck chair stripe bunting and various baby pink and baby blue bunting including a new one featuring little ballerinas. Lyndsay is also going to be taking orders for personalised bunting and there is a rather long string of my bunting up across the middle of her shop saying 'Made To Order', its red dotty letters on Vintage Rose (in case you were wondering). The shop specialises in Annie Sloan paint and offers various workshops using her paints.
This week I've had 4 orders for personalised bunting from Taylor'd Bundles, its a new business but its really taken off and well worth a look if you haven't already seen it. The bundles are bespoke and so you really will get the perfect gift for a loved one. www.taylordbundles.co.uk
Its Henley Regatta this week and the village and local train station are adorned with plastic bunting, no doubt the bunting will be thrown away and new, untorn, uncreased plastic bunting will be bought again next year...my bunting (and all fabric bunting) will last for years, even a down pour won't ruin it and its much better for the enviroment too. I'll continue in my quest for fabric bunting to replace all plastic bunting - but it might take me a while :-)
It appears that summer is here!! Yay!! My new shed can't be painted until October (due to wood treatment) however, the seeds we planted are turning into flowers, we've been swimming in the local ford....3 flip flops were washed away but luckily all 5 children made it back. We've had bike rides, wasps in our lemonade and picnics in the garden - so you know what this means?.....its time to start on the Christmas selection (sorry!)
On that thought, I'll sign off. Stay safe in the sun SPF 30+ rules!!
