I haven't written my blog for a while but that isn't because I have stopped making my bunting...far from it. I've had lots of orders recently and although I have had orders in the past from America, I had my first order last week from a lady in Australia. I'm in the process of making her some bunting for her sons Christening and she has asked for it to be posted Express Delivery so it gets there in time. The children will shortly be going back to school after the Easter break and although I'll miss them being around the house and playing outside with friends I wont miss the 8 mile bike rides we have been going on these past couple of weeks. The boy has a speedo on his bike so we can track our distance, we don't want to go so far that we have to get a taxi back for me. The first bike ride was to the lock in Sonning Berkshire, its a beautiful village with old houses, lovely pub, and ancient church and the tow path leading to the lock runs right along the bottom of George Cloony's garden. Having seen the amount of work being carried out on his house I doubt he was around though. The next day we said we'd go on a shorter bike ride (due to the hardness of my saddle!) but after getting lost once or twice around Dinton Pastures Country Park we ended up cycling slightly further than the day before. All good fun though.
I hope the warm weather is here to stay, I have posted a photo of a shed which a customer sent to me last summer. I made the bunting for her mums shed but once she saw it she decided to have it in her bedroom instead. My 'Party Bunting' is ideal for use in a garden. Its cheaper to buy, perfect for longer lengths and will look fab all summer and probably for the next couple of summers too if you bring it in over winter.
I'll sign off for now, its time to finish off the last of the Easter eggs.
