I've had the allotment for 6 or 7 years and up until Dec 12 I lived on the same road as it in Windor so it was really easy to get there every day for a quick weeding session or to scatter some seeds. Towards the end of the seasom I'd go there most evening to get my dinner. Its surprising how many recipes one can come up with for courgettes....even courgette bread - or as the recipe called it Zuccini Bread.
I made a string of bunting today for a lady who sent me a pillowcase. The pillowcase was turned into 5 flags and a small cushion, I added 4 more flags in plain dusky pink attached the 9 flags to white tape and it looks lovely. It is for the ladies daughter who has recently had a bedroom makeover. The little cushion will look lovely on her dressing table chair or on the bed.
I'm having a few days break from the sewing machine (thats not to say I wont be buying fabric whenever some catches my eye), all of my iminant orders have
been completed. My bunting will be available in shops from the 1st May, also on a new fantastic website from the 1st of May and it is being taken to a stand at show at Olympia in mid-May. A show which over 100,000 people go to ...eeek. I need a holiday, I've got a feeling I'm about to be a Very Busy bee.
