I bought a mixture of lilac fabric today which I am going to turn into gorgeous smelling bunting...'how will she do that?' I hear you ask, well I'm going to add dried lavender into each triagle. The smell of lavender is soothing and aids a restful sleep. It'll just need a slight squeeze or rub every now and then to refresh the smell. Might even help a baby to sleep (but don't forget not to hang bunting above or near a bed/cot).
My bunting is soon to be listed on an on-line catalogue (not sure catalogue is the correct word), I'll give you more information next time. In the mean time if you, like me, love the smell of lavender you might want to look at this link.. www.louisabrownsoap.com Louisa has a package of products set up ideal for a new mum, its full of lavender goodies.
Sewing Bee starts tonight on BBC2 so I've got to sign off, get the kettle on, grab a blueberry muffin (made yersterday) and settle on the sofa
